1] Conference Introduction

In an era where global food security, sustainable agriculture, human health and biotechnology converge, the International Conference on Biotechnology in Agriculture and Health offers a dynamic hybrid forum on 21 November 2026. This event by Mastering Up brings together researchers, biotechnologists, agronomists, health scientists, policy-makers, industry innovators and students to explore how biotechnology is reshaping agricultural systems and healthcare outcomes alike. From crop genetic enhancement, plant-microbe interactions, bio-fortified foods, precision agriculture and sustainable biotech solutions for agriculture — to biomedical biotechnologies, diagnostics, therapeutics, and translational health innovations — this conference spans the interlinked domains of biotechnology in agriculture and health. Join us as we share cutting-edge research, engage cross-disciplinary dialogue and build collaborations that bridge agriculture, health and biotechnology for sustainable impact.

2] Conference Objectives

The objectives of the conference are:

  • To convene a global, multidisciplinary community of researchers, technologists, industry professionals and policy-makers who are active in biotechnology for agriculture and health.

  • To highlight innovations and emerging trends in agricultural biotechnology (e.g., genetic engineering, microbial/plant biotechnologies, bio-fortification, precision agriculture) and in health biotechnology (e.g., diagnostics, therapeutics, biomedical engineering, translational biotechnology).

  • To promote collaboration between agriculture and health sectors, bridging research, technology and practice — thus enabling biotechnological solutions that span the food-health continuum.

  • To provide a platform for early-career researchers, doctoral candidates, and professionals to present their work, obtain feedback, network globally and build partnerships across agriculture, biotechnology and health domains.

  • To foster translational thinking and applications of biotechnology — from lab to field, from bench to bedside — addressing pressing global challenges in food security, health equity, sustainable systems and innovation.

3] Conference Outcomes

Participants can expect the following outcomes from the conference:

  • Presentation of high-quality peer-reviewed research papers, poster sessions and invited talks covering state-of-the-art themes in biotechnology for agriculture and health.

  • Publication opportunities: Selected full-papers will be invited for publication in reputable Scopus and Web of Science/SCI-indexed journals (see section 8 below) for enhanced academic recognition and impact.

  • Networking and collaboration opportunities with global researchers, industry partners, agro-biotech and health-tech practitioners, policy-makers and other stakeholders — laying the foundation for future joint research projects, innovation initiatives and cross-sector partnerships.

  • Enhanced understanding of emerging biotechnological paradigms — for example, precision agriculture, plant genomics, microbial engineering, bio-fortified crops, diagnostic biotech, therapeutic biotech, translational pipelines, health and nutrition interfaces.

  • Certificates of participation (for all delegates) and certificates for presenting authors (presentation + publication eligibility) — enhancing professional credentials.

  • Practical take-aways: actionable insights into how biotechnology can be leveraged in agriculture and health, how cross-sector collaboration can accelerate impact, and how research can translate into sustainable solutions for agriculture and health.

4] Call for Papers – List of Topics

We invite authors to submit original research papers, review articles, case studies or application-oriented reports related (but not limited) to the following themes:

  • Genetic engineering and genome editing in crops: CRISPR/Cas, gene-editing for stress-resilience, yield improvement

  • Plant-microbe interactions, bio-fertilisers, microbial biotechnology for agriculture

  • Bio-fortification of food crops, nutraceuticals, functional foods, micronutrient enhancement

  • Precision agriculture, sensor-based/IoT-enabled biotech systems, digital agriculture, bio-informatics in agriculture

  • Sustainable agricultural biotechnology: circular bioeconomy, bio-based inputs, bioremediation in agro-systems

  • Biotechnology in animal/agro-livestock systems, aquaculture biotechnology, plant/animal health biotechnology

  • Translational biotechnology for human health: diagnostics, therapeutic biologics, regenerative medicine, bio-engineering

  • Biotechnology for public health & nutrition: microbial therapies, nutrigenomics, food-health biotech interface

  • Biotech policy, regulation, intellectual property, ethics, equitable access in agriculture & health biotechnology

  • Emerging frontiers: synthetic biology, systems biology, omics in agriculture & health, AI/ML in biotech

  • Case-studies of biotech implementation in agriculture or health systems, industry-academia collaborations, real-world biotech innovations

  • Biotechnology for one-health: bridging agriculture, environment and human health; zoonoses, food-safety, agro-health interfaces

We encourage innovative, interdisciplinary contributions that address both research-frontier topics and application-oriented challenges in biotechnology bridging agriculture and health.
