1] About the Hackathon

The International Hackathon on Quantum Computing and Future Technologies invites innovators, developers, researchers, and students from across the globe to dive into the transformative world of quantum computation and its limitless applications. This 72-hour event aims to foster creativity and interdisciplinary collaboration to design scalable, impactful, and forward-looking quantum-based solutions that can revolutionize industries such as healthcare, cybersecurity, climate science, and artificial intelligence.

Participants will explore the frontiers of quantum algorithms, error correction, cryptography, and hybrid quantum–classical systems, pushing the boundaries of how emerging technologies can reshape human progress.


2] Problem Statements / Tracks

Track 1 – Quantum Cryptography for Secure Communications
Develop a quantum encryption system leveraging QKD (Quantum Key Distribution) or other quantum protocols to secure global communications against cyber threats.
Expected Solution: Simulation or prototype of quantum-safe encryption/decryption model.

Track 2 – Quantum Algorithms for Climate Modeling
Design a quantum-based simulation algorithm to enhance the precision and efficiency of large-scale climate prediction models.
Expected Solution: Algorithm or hybrid model demonstrating faster data processing for environmental forecasting.

Track 3 – Quantum Machine Learning in Healthcare
Utilize quantum machine learning techniques to improve diagnosis or treatment predictions in personalized medicine.
Expected Solution: Prototype model integrating quantum neural networks or variational circuits.

Track 4 – Quantum Simulation for Material Science
Create a simulation tool for predicting new materials with desired thermal, electrical, or magnetic properties using quantum principles.
Expected Solution: Quantum algorithm or model demonstrating computational speed advantage.

Track 5 – Quantum Computing for Financial Modeling
Develop a quantum algorithm to optimize portfolio management, risk assessment, or fraud detection in the financial sector.
Expected Solution: Demonstration of a quantum or hybrid model outperforming classical computation.

Track 6 – Quantum Optimization in Logistics and Supply Chain
Build a solution leveraging quantum annealing or variational algorithms to optimize transportation routes, inventory, or energy consumption.
Expected Solution: Quantum algorithm prototype showing improved efficiency metrics.

Track 7 – Quantum Internet Infrastructure Design
Propose an architectural framework for scalable, error-resistant quantum networking.
Expected Solution: Technical design or simulation model showcasing secure quantum data transfer.

Track 8 – Quantum-Assisted Artificial Intelligence
Explore how quantum computing can enhance deep learning performance and AI decision-making.
Expected Solution: Quantum AI framework that integrates qubit-based computation in model training.

Track 9 – Quantum Ethics and Governance Systems
Design a policy or framework that addresses ethical and governance challenges in the deployment of quantum technologies globally.
Expected Solution: Digital model, white paper, or app prototype promoting responsible quantum innovation.

Track 10 – Individual Innovation Challenge
Participants can propose any original idea or innovation integrating quantum computing with future technologies (e.g., biotechnology, energy, space tech, or nanotech).
Expected Solution: Independent concept prototype or simulation aligning with the hackathon theme.


3] Event Schedule (Three-Day)
Day Activity Description
Day 1 – August 1, 2026 Inauguration & Orientation Welcome address, introduction to tracks, hackathon guidelines, and team setup.
Problem Finalization & Brainstorming Teams choose problem statements and start ideation.
Day 2 – August 2, 2026 Development & Mentorship Sessions Coding, simulations, and prototype development under expert guidance.
Mid-Evaluation Progress review and feedback by jury panel.
Day 3 – August 3, 2026 Final Submission & Presentation Teams submit final project demos and pitch presentations.
Results & Valedictory Ceremony Announcement of winners and closing ceremony.

4] Eligibility & Participation Rules
  • Team Size: 2–4 members

  • Eligibility: Open to students, professionals, researchers, and innovators globally.

  • Mode: 100% Online

  • Code of Conduct:

    • Maintain professionalism and respect toward all participants.

    • No plagiarism or unauthorized use of existing intellectual property.

    • Teams must work ethically and adhere to event deadlines.

    • Decisions by the organizing/jury panel are final and binding.


5] Evaluation Criteria

Projects will be evaluated based on:

  1. Innovation & Creativity – Originality of the idea and design thinking.

  2. Practical Application / Social Impact – Real-world usability and contribution to global challenges.

  3. Technical Implementation – Quality of code, logic, and quantum model integration.

  4. Scalability & Feasibility – Potential for real-world deployment and growth.

  5. Presentation Quality – Clarity, structure, and effectiveness of the final presentation.
