Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Simulations – Training Services provides specialized training on using FDTD methods to model and analyze electromagnetic wave propagation and interactions. The course covers the theoretical foundations of Maxwell’s equations, discretization techniques, stability criteria, and boundary condition implementation. Participants will use Python and MATLAB to simulate wave propagation, scattering, reflection, and transmission in various media and structures. Emphasis is placed on numerical accuracy, grid resolution, and visualization of electric and magnetic field evolution. Case studies highlight applications in antennas, photonic devices, metamaterials, and electromagnetic compatibility analysis. Hands-on sessions provide practical experience in setting up simulations, analyzing results, and optimizing computational performance. By the end, participants will be able to perform high-fidelity FDTD simulations for research and engineering applications.
