Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) – Training Services provides specialized training on the use of FTIR for chemical and structural analysis of materials. The program covers the fundamental principles of infrared absorption, instrumentation design, and spectral data acquisition. Participants will learn sample preparation techniques for solids, liquids, and gases, along with methods for interpreting characteristic absorption bands. The course emphasizes applications in polymers, pharmaceuticals, biomaterials, nanomaterials, and environmental studies. Hands-on sessions train learners in using FTIR software for qualitative and quantitative analysis, including functional group identification and contaminant detection. By the end of the training, participants will be equipped to confidently apply FTIR in both research and industrial problem-solving.
