Modeling of Fermentation Processes in Aspen Plus – Training Services offers specialized training in simulating biochemical fermentation processes using Aspen Plus. Participants will learn to represent microbial growth, substrate consumption, and product formation using kinetic or stoichiometric reaction models. The course covers selection of thermodynamic packages suitable for aqueous and biochemical systems, integration of biomass yield data, gas-liquid mass transfer, pH control, and temperature effects. Emphasis is also placed on coupling fermentation with downstream recovery processes like centrifugation, distillation, and extraction.
