Nanoindentation and Microhardness Testing – Training Services

Nanoindentation and Microhardness Testing – Training Services provides in-depth training on techniques used to measure the mechanical properties of materials at micro- and nanoscale levels. The program covers the principles of indentation mechanics, load–displacement curves, and hardness measurement methods. Participants will learn about instrument setup, calibration, and testing protocols for evaluating hardness, elastic modulus, creep, and fracture toughness. Emphasis is placed on applications in thin films, coatings, biomaterials, polymers, and advanced engineering materials. Practical sessions include hands-on training in data collection, analysis, and interpretation using specialized software. By the end of the training, learners will be equipped to apply nanoindentation and microhardness testing for research, material development, and quality control.
