Plasma Modeling using Particle-in-Cell (PIC) Methods – Training Services provides an in-depth study of numerical techniques for simulating plasma dynamics at the particle level. The training covers the fundamentals of the PIC algorithm, including particle motion, field solving, charge assignment, and time integration methods. Participants will learn how to model kinetic effects, wave–particle interactions, and instabilities in both magnetized and unmagnetized plasmas. The program emphasizes hands-on implementation of PIC codes, validation with analytical models, and applications in fusion, space, and laser–plasma interaction studies. By the end of the course, learners will gain the skills to design, execute, and analyze plasma simulations using PIC methods effectively.
