Soft Materials and Gels – Training Services provides in-depth knowledge on the synthesis, characterization, and applications of polymers, hydrogels, colloids, and other soft matter systems. The program covers fundamental principles of viscoelasticity, self-assembly, and phase behavior that govern the properties of soft materials. Trainees will explore advanced characterization techniques such as rheology, microscopy, and spectroscopy to study gel structures and mechanical performance. Special focus is given to biomedical hydrogels, drug delivery systems, food gels, and soft robotics applications. The training also emphasizes material design strategies for tailoring responsiveness to stimuli such as temperature, pH, and light. By the end of this course, participants will gain expertise in developing innovative soft material solutions for healthcare, energy, and industrial applications.
