Turbulence Modeling and Simulation for Physicists – Training Services

Turbulence Modeling and Simulation for Physicists – Training Services provides specialized training on understanding, modeling, and simulating turbulent flows in fluids and gases using computational techniques. The course covers fundamentals of turbulence, Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations, Large Eddy Simulation (LES), Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS), and turbulence closure models. Participants will use Python and MATLAB to implement numerical methods for simulating complex turbulent behavior in various geometries and flow conditions. Emphasis is placed on accuracy, stability, visualization, and analysis of turbulent statistics such as velocity fluctuations and energy spectra. Case studies highlight applications in aerodynamics, environmental fluid dynamics, and industrial processes. Hands-on sessions provide practical experience in coding, running simulations, and interpreting results for research and engineering applications. By the end, participants will be equipped to model and simulate turbulence computationally.
